The Entries Woo, typing today's date was weird. ^_^ Going to bed, folks - sorry I couldn't say hi to anyone today, but I'm UTTERLY wiped. *debates over taking vacation again* (Well, really - did you think I named the blog "indecisive" on a whim? ~_^)
I seem to be doing hit-and-run things lately. Bleh. Sleep needed. ^_^
And since I ALSO seem to be turning into some sort of news agency AND because it's good to remember that there is news-outside-of-the-USA: Anger after prayers leads to more violence
Australia warns of Indonesian
terror plot
Al-Qaida fighting alongside
Saddam's forces
*waves at Peoples* Just got home. Am fine. Am also going to bed. Tiiiired. (that, and I left my computer at work - this is dad's. Not staying to play on this one. ^^; )
Oh, but before I go -
Sgt. Akbar (who threw grenades into his comrade's tent) studied at a Saudi-funded mosque - right here in L.A.. (NOT-fun. Veeery definitely not-fun.)
I'm giggling quite hard over this -
Listening to the radio. A man calls the radio program (since it's a call-in format). He proceeds to say vociferously to the host, "I find no evidence at all that your radio program exists."
Anooooooo.... o_O
ANYway. I have her to thank for yet another obsession. -_-; Can I just say that I adore Princess Tutu? (And I am really NOT normally a shoujo-anime type of girl.) There IS no way to describe this thing. It's sweet, angsty, adorable, mysterious - all under what I believe is a very heavy dose of crack. But that's okay; crack-in-anime clearly never stopped me before.
BTW: Wave hi to Thistle, everyone. ^_^ (Pss, Manzai - she's doing Atkins, too. Perhaps we should start a club.)
Thanks for your responses to The Rant, guys. I just read one too many journals of people spouting off without having so much as a lick of proof. I do believe I snapped a little. <_< But the facts stand - undeniably so. I even tried to make sure that the headlines spanned the last several years - that means even BEFORE 9/11 - to make the point.
Eep, time to go - but before I do....
You are Fakir (Fakia). Go you! At first glance, you appear evil and domineering. But underneath that gruff exterior lies an angsty bish. And underneath the veil of bish lies a bookish geek who tends to spazz at the sight of female flesh. You are a big dork...but you hide it well!
You know what's weird? Starting out a series HATING a character's guts and ending up with that guy as your favorite by the climax. Now THAT'S whack. ~_^
Hmm... okay. I think I'm going to have to say something here. Rant warning.
(And if you want to ignore the rant and just read the articles and headlines that got me going, feel free to just scroll down. You don't have to take my word for jack squat.)
Guys - the war was not declared by the US a few days ago. It was declared several years ago by Saudi Arabia and Iraq. I'm SORRY if this is not politically correct and upsets you - I'm afraid that it fits the facts.
Do you think 9/11 was an isolated incident? It was not; things like that have been happening in Israel, France, Germany, Russia, Africa, all over the world -
And just like in WWII, we and so many others are covering our eyes and closing our ears and going, "If I don't see it, it won't touch me."
I'm afraid that's wrong. And Hussein? You're going to defend a man who rewards people for sending their CHILDREN in to die and blow up little old ladies?
Guys... it may be a scary time. It may be something that we are not happy to have to go through, or anything we can ever boast about. I agree with you; but unfortunately, simply ignoring it, excusing it, or in any other way refusing to DEAL with the issues at hand is only going to lead to more 9/11 issues. I am NOT saying we should go nuts and attack anyone of vaguely Middle-Eastern origin; I am, however, saying that to NOT defend ourselves is as much of a crime as it would be to attack without warrant.
You don't believe me? Fine. Believe these guys instead.

I could keep going; but maybe there isn't a point. You have to be willing to read and research issues fully before simply believing what some talking-head says on the TV - you are NOT getting the full story until you do.
Yes, there are children involved in the war (although one should hopefully wonder just why the hell Hussein placed his military things where children could be HURT). Yes, there are very nice and good Muslims and it's insane to attack people on the basis of creed or religion or color.
Somebody needs to tell the terrorists that.
Okay. Ranting complete.
*waves* I'm alive. Can't talk much right now - choir practice finished, working madly on another site for work.
Work... working... feh. Well, MY English skills have gone out the window....
He's home. He's fine. I'm so relieved my stomach is turning. Thank God.
Nervous.
Scared.
Dad's speaking at an Arabic Christian bookstore tonight. For those of you who knows what my father does, how he's involved with the FBI, etc., I think you know how nuts this is making me. There were bomb threats and everything else.
They took tasers and stun guns.
He's wearing his bullet-proof vest.
Going to be okay. God is in control.
I'm going to go chew something very hard now.
Heya. ^_^ I updated my music page - has things by Evanescence now. MUST check it out - this song (and its remix - they're quite nice together) is just amazing.
*giggling* Who's surprised at this?
This one's a little weirder -
Eep. War has begun officially. Pray for our troops, folks.
Oh, the wrongness... Somehow, I doubt we'll be seeing anything with the line, "'This is my Jerry Springer moment, so dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians" showing up in the PBU music curriculum. >______<
Oh, and Dave, nothing's wrong - I just didn't expect to get that result. ~_^ Feh - although when my hair's short it DOES curl like that... -_-;;
*dies* Somebody kill me.
Going to bed SO early tonight....
Thanks for all the get-well wishes, folks. ^_^ Am resting and getting plenty of sleep, although I fear my stomach is still trying to run away.
Heard an interesting statement on the radio today that, I think, is good food for thought. A talkshow host stated the following:
The peace demonstrators may actually have exacerbated the problem in the middle east.
Initially, when there began to be problems with Iraq, Hussein promised he'd back off. But then there were suddenly all these anti-war, anti-American, anti-everybody demonstrations; thousands of people basically singing, "we LOVE you Saddam," waving little flags, etc.
So what happens? He suddenly gets a second wind and apparently thinks the world is behind HIM - and starts preparing for all-out war.
The world isn't behind him; but because of the stuff going on in the media, he thinks it is - and thus, has been doing things like this because he feels that he WILL get away with it and there will be no judgment for him.
'Twas a very interesting statement, IMHO. Chew at leisure. :D
Just a quick link and I'm going to bed. Dear heavens I feel ill.

(And yup - I DID work myself sick. Um... wai? >_<)
Argh...
Sorry, folks. I may be MIA for a couple of days (as in, more than I was). Happen to be awake now because I woke up so sick to my stomach that I was crying. Isn't THAT a lovely start to the week... >_<
Bleh.
New blog. QUICK-loading blog. XEL blog. *smiiiiiiiiile*
Huzzah for Slayers. Oh, and btw, just so you know - do NOT. LISTEN. TO THE DUB. David Moo must die. That is all.
