I didn't WANT to see it - that kind of thing is really not to my taste at all... but my family was going, and everyone at the OFFICE was going, and even my MOTHER was going (believe me, that's a minor miracle), and... well...
*wails* I gave in! To not-peer pressure, I gave in! WOE is me! *sobs*
Seriously - that movie is terrible. Yes, good special effects; yes, good acting; yes, the directing was good.
Sucky plot. Miserable ending. Unsympathetic characters. Unbelievable (as in, "oh, get REAL") moments. TOOO LOOOOOONG. Just... nothing that I can say that's actually GOOD about it.
I actually came out of the theatre with a headache - from a combination of laughing hard at the screen (because people were randomly MST-ing this thing) and the reall truly horrible HORRIFIC story line.
On the other hand, I had some more fic-inspiration today; working on a stupid little comedic jaunt. *chuckles darkly* Combining all sorts of people from everywhere... if you wanna have a peek at the unfinished version, go here. Even Seishirou has a major role. ^_^ Saa, I'm evil...

Woo... this... has been... the LONGEST day in the world. Ya know why? 'Cause I'm trying to hang on to my job.
It's one of those lovely circumstances in which everybody goes to the same social group, lives in the same area, has the same church - and then there's me. *coughs* I'm the oddball - and consequently, there are a couple of people who have been trying to get me fired.
Well, no fear - tomorrow I'm getting the chance to do a presentation. This is a REALLY good thing; I've been working almost 12 hours a day every day, so there's lots to show. I just hope I can make it sound good to the mucky-mucks who've been listening to how terrible I am for the last four months. >_<
Oh, and Leareth - yes, that's my muse turning. *chuckles* He just wouldn't leave it alone, and now I MIGHT end up with an epic on my hands. Oi, vey.... ^_^;
Of COURSE shake Kamui. Why would I go after him with a knife? Then he'd probably lose an eye, or get a scar, or do something ELSE that would immediately put him even further into the typical angsty-bishounen-group that's led by Sephiroth and reeks of Brut aftershave.
No thanks. I'd rather just rattle his noggin and send him off to backbone-school. ~_^

1. Mind of a Prince (a Vejiita-Bulma fic, DBZ - don't bother with the URL yet) is FINALLY moving again -
I've given up on getting the actual EPISODES because it finally occurred
to me I could just get the DBZ scripts. -_- I'm usually smarter than that,
I swear... I have not uploaded the updated story for this yet, but I keep
being asked about it - so fear not, it is on it's way. ^_^
2. Love's Weakness (DBZ - sort of a fanfic on a fanfic, expounding on an
original character) - is COMPLETELY redone. We're talking major story
alteration - and for once, I like it. ^_^ View it here - I'll skip the
warning for you folks. ~_^ There are
probably spelling errors, etc. - I haven't had it beta'd yet (my beta's
are all away! wah!), so feel free to email me if you see something
obviously wrong. ^^;;
3. I'm working on another Tokyo Babylon/X 1999 fic, and this one is
threatening to become...er, evil. Massive. Possibly a long and drawn-out
spectacle of Angst. I'm discussing it with my muse now - we'll see how it
goes.
5. The Bet (GW - Wufei/Treize centered fic) part three is almost ready to
go... I'm just awaiting a bit more feedback and that'll be ready.
And... that's it for now. Boy... a stressful day leads to unstressing in the fic world, I guess... @_@

...in all of this, I still like Tokyo Babylon - and its characters - better. Call me crazy; and I KNOW that it's partly because there simply hasn't been enough time to develop THIS many characters the way CLAMP developed the TB ones, but...
I still like Subaru better than Kamui, obssessions aside. In fact, I rather want to smack Kamui. Lots.
And shake him, too.
Perhaps we can send him in for a spine-implant... didn't work on Shinji, but hey, there's hope, right? ~_^
