Oops. Dunno how that happened, but the zip files on the tokoy babylon thingy deleted themselves - AGAIN.

o_O

I've put them up one more time; if it resets again, I'll gladly upload them somewhere else. Danged weird, this is....

Here is Isa's (very very CORRECT) summary of the End of EVA movie:

"We just ripped the world into itty bitty pieces and put it back together for you - and you threw up on it."

Sorry, Julie - but I'm thinking Shinji needs disembowelment just about now.

ow. my head.

All right. I'm just going to say this, and let YnM fans with vivid imaginations make of it what they will:

Murak the Barbarian.

Thank you very much. *bows*

Grah. Well, I feel like that was THE worst lesson I've ever taught. >_< Fortunately for me, others don't think so - I even got another sideways W***y comment.

BTW - yes, Merka, it IS really basic. We're teaching our church in general to read music (yes, it IS possible - we've done it before, although I wasn't in charge of it last time), so we're going with intervalic stuff right now. ^_^

Oh, and we seem to have solved the shortness problem. Er - that is to say, I'm short. No one could SEE me leading the music. So now, they brought the wheeled steps that are used to climb the rather high stage, and I got to stand on that. About... ooooh, a good four feet off the ground. Lotsa fun.

Did I mention I got to sing the Lord's prayer, which goes up to a high f, three times in a row? With no water break? Meeep. ;_;

Yeah, I know. I'm suffering so badly. ~_^

And going to watch some X tv series now. Later. ^_^

(Oh, and P. S. - the download that was not working now is. Thanks, Crystal. ^_^

Guess who's awake?

Am currently at her apartment, which is a good thing - she's helping me to STAY awake while I continue to do my music seminar.

Want an example of what I'm doing?

(click the sucker to enlarge)

Yup. That's the kind of thing I'm doing now, which will be on the overhead while I'm explaining how intervals work. It's not something I DON'T enjoy, understand; actually - I love it. It's just so... MUCH... all at once.

Self, questioning: Why did I think two full time jobs were a good thing?

Self, answering: mmmmm... probably about the same time I decided that having a double major was a good idea. Oooooh, I HAVE been doing this for a while... ~_^

Self, commenting: And thusly, she didst doom herself to stress and tribulation. And lots of results.

Addendum to the below rant: the fellow who submitted to the ring UTTERLY AND COMPLETELY REDEEMED HIMSELF.

He wrote back, gracious, apologetic, and eloquent; agreed with the critique we gave and actually THANKED us for giving it to him.

Man; that maturity is amazing. This is the kind of response makes this whole thing worth it.

Hmmmm.... okay, want a weird day? This isn't ranting, per se - I'm just... venting a little. So forgive me if it sounds slightly whiny. >_<

1. Turns out there's been some sort of meeting I didn't know about - nobody told me - and now we have a "Media Team." Apparently, somehow, this Media Team covers ALL our departments - that is, mine, audio, video, radio, etc. Mike - God bless him - thought he was gonna be in charge of the whole thing.

You might recall Mike. The guy who can't seem to decide if he loves me or hates me. He's one of the best radio producers I've ever seen, but since he's known me for many years, I think he has real trouble seeing me as an adult; he vascillates between "you're as professional as they get!" and "she should be fired." Territorial or backstabbing? You decide.

2. Ever made a weird mistake and weren't sure how it got there? Well, I did that in coding my business' site today, and somehow - God alone knows how - suddenly we had THREE banners up at the top of the screen and about 1600 pixels worth of blank space before the content began. I have NO idea how that happened; took me two hours to fix.

3. I love other cultures, and, similarly, I love my friends from other countries; however, there often is a misogynous streak in some folks that... can REALLY get annoying. Take Ibraham, for example.

Ibraham is a very nice guy. He's quite polite. He also won't listen to a word you say if you're female, as I and all the other females at the office have found out.

See, dad has the radio program every day; I share an office with my dad. Ibraham was here to see my dad; so when it was time to go do the radio program, you'd think Ibraham would follow my dad out - right?

Wrong. He stuck around and just... stared at me for the full hour.

I finally got creeped out (especially since every time I left the room, he'd be... inspecting things when I came back) and decided to go home and work from there. However - Ibraham suddenly developed an inability to speak English every time I asked him to leave. Even, "I'm sorry, but I have to LOCK THE OFFICE NOW" got nothing but a smile.

Finally, I had to go and get one of my male coworkers. All Steven had to say was, "come this way, please" and Ibraham did it.

Blargh. *sets Seishirou on him*

4. As you know, Raksha and I run The (Good) Fanfiction Webring. It's something we both take VERY seriously, and because of that, it takes a long, long time to process sites. Well, we had to turn a gentleman down yesterday - and he took great offense.

Proceeded to write back a loooong email full of boasts about how great he was, stating such wonders as the fact that he scored in the 97th percentile on his SAT's and is the editor of his newspaper somewhere in Oregon and how he's won ALLLLL these prizes and HE KNOWS HIS GRAMMAR EXCEPTIONALLY WELL.

Never mind the fact that in his email he made such errors as "if you think I have grammar mistakes" - which we don't; he has GRAMMATICAL mistakes.

Also, he made up a few words in his fics. Last I checked, "unseriously" did not actually exist.

So anyway, wrote him back; will be interesting to see if he can learn and correct his mistakes, because his style wasn't half bad. Shame he had to pull such attitude, however.

5. Our VCR in the living room broke; so what does dad do? He fetches the one from my brother's room and leaves me to finish setting it up, never minding the fact that the remote control is lost and the blasted thing won't work without it. It took me twenty minutes to find, in the course of which -

6. The dog decided it would be fun to knock a 64 ounce glass filled with iced tea across the room. HUUUUUUGE mess.

7. Which had to be cleaned up before guests who are staying for days get back from dinner. Gah.

And in all of this, did I get to work on my music seminar? Well; no. But I will tonight. Because... ack. Week is OVER.

...okay, so it's VERY whiny. >_< Sorry. Just been a really long day. Ignore me, la la la....

W00t. Time to prepare for the monthly music seminar - normally, I would have been working on it the whole week, but I had no time. @_@

Eeeeeek. Whee, but EEK.

...eek.

Oh, for the LOVE OF...

My insurance compay is staffed by MONKEYS.

Remember that ankle-accident I had back in February? A while ago, wasn't it; you'd think my insurance had taken CARE of it by now, wouldn't you?

Nnnnnnnnnnope. Instead, they haven't responded to the hospital at ALL, nor do they have a claim from the hospital on file, they say. As a result - get this -

I am getting threatening letters from the hospital. The last one said that they were going to submit my name to a CREDIT BUREAU if they did not receive payment.

Like hell.

So I called Kaiser (yep - that's the same group that almost killed my dad), and they couldn't do anything for me. Said they needed the bill from the hospital.

Sooooo I called the hospital back and they're sending another one AND the lady said she's not going to have my name submitted to anybody because it's the insurance company's fault, not mine.

@_@ GAH.

GAH

Okay. Vented. *twitch* Stay away from HMO's, world. You already have enough to complicate your life.

Oi. Just finished choir practice. And here is where all my friends from PBU and those who have known me for a long time get to bip me over the head and go, "HAHA:"

I am SUCH a teacher. And worse yet, I'm a conductor. >_<

There is no hope for me...

-Trin, who's not REALLY upset, but is still amazed at how well this is working out

Ooh, two more quick things (and now, of course, you can see what time it is, but oh well) -

First, Isa, I LOVE your blog. It makes me want to cry - in a good way. ;_;

And I got absolutely the funniest review from ff.net (I post there with sort of a horrid fascination) I have EVER received.

Okay - Experiment fic. The situation: five of the most seductive, manipulative men in anime competing against one another.

You got that, right? Seductive. It implies things like "good looking" and "smooth talker." In other words, I wanted to torture these evil men from anime, so... I'm doing it.

Well - clearly THIS idiot didn't read the fine print:

"You moron how could you have a fanfic about Manipilulative people and leave Gendo Ikari out, the most manipulative bastard ever. To quote Asuka, '"What are you Stupid!'"

*snickering hard* GENDO IKARI?!? GAH - He's...HIDEOUS. Has the manners of a drugged TOAD. In fact - since a lot of you have seen my blog for a while, you know what kind of folk I decorate it with: they're nice on the eyes, if a little odd in style. ~_^ Well, THIS is Gendo Ikari:

Yes. He sounds exactly like you'd think he does. In fact, half the time they have something in front of his mouth when he speaks so they wouldn't have to do extra cels - because his face NEVER CHANGES.

I'm sorry. That guy? In with Seishirou (who decorates the current blog), Akio, Treize, Muraki, and Nakago?

I think they'd kill him on general principle. ~_^

Muaha. Guess what? NO fic update. ~_^ Right now, I'm actually going to *gasp* blog.

Something speical, eh? ~_^

First of all, everything is going well; I'm FINALLY beginning to feel rested after the madness that was 9/11. I ended up playing in church today, actually, which RELLY went well - and let me tell you, I'm utterly thrilled. I haven't been able to play the piano for months - not since I graduated, in fact - because of the tendonitis.

In other news, I fear that a friend of the family is dying; it REALLY has my grandmother and aunt upset, since he was closest to them. We witnessed to him; but... well, he's so under morphine now that it's impossible to have a conversation with him anymore. We can only pray he listened.

And speaking of prayer - you and you are both a little more familiar than you'd like to be with a pair of twin brothers whose name starts with "W" and ends with "elty." Well... they're finally showing their true colors. These two nimnus show up with this letter that starts out, "thank you for asking us to give you advice on your ministry" - now, mind you, we NEVER did - but hey, that doesn't matter. Both of them are very litigious, so they probably just wanted it in writing.

Anyway, the long and short of it is this: they told dad he had to kick everybody he has working for him out - ESPECIALLY family, so that's including me, mom, and John - and put the two of THEM on the board, with offices, so that they can run the place.

Yeah, riiiiiiiiiiight....

Oh, but I DID get a sideways compliment out of it. They said that, nepotism aside (they don't know my father if they say that - those of you who've been reading this blog long enough know: if I weren't doing my job, dad would fire me. He's...emminently practical like that. >_<), I should keep my job as the music director of the church because I'm CLEARLY professional and talented enough to keep that job.

Heh. HA. *points* BWAHAHA!!

*coughs* Sorry. Gloating frenzy for a moment there. ~_^

In yet other news, I am now learning Macromedia Coldfusion. It's...erk; really bizarre stuff. Sort of a database kind of thing, but - really advanced. Very nice, from what I understand - but... oi. Like I have time for this.

...who am I kidding. I'm in geek heaven. ^_____^

Hmmm, lessee, what else - oooh, yes! Comments -

Thank you all SO much for commenting, those who did. Ya know, it's just really a NICE NICE thing to see notes like that - honestly. ~_^

Takira, as always, you're dead funny and to the point. "...and then by the time it got to X, all Subaru was hearing was 'Blah blah blah Seishirou-san blah. Blah Seishirou-san blah blah Seishirou-san's DEAD OH GOD I WANNA DIE blah blah...'" Giggle. ^_^

Thanks a lot to Jen, whom I've never met, for commenting. I'm really glad to know you enjoy the site!!

Kunika - you learn how to do sword stuffs, you lemme know. That would just be too cool for words. ^_^

Davey, thank you - I'll respond to your email shortly. I really, REALLY appreciate your prayers a lot. You're of my anchors to PBU - I can't thank you enough!

Muaha. Yes, Leareth - you won your bet. Feh - was your fault in the FIRST place... *chuckles*

Juuulie... I WILL get ahold of you somehow. *glares at phone*

Thanks tons, Ruby ^_^ I'm glad you liked DoD - I hope it wasn't too dull. ~_^ YnM is SUCH a hard series to write for...

Woo! Thanks, Merka! ^_^ Mind of a Prince is SO much fun - and you know, now I get to the reall cool part: the part that Toriyama didn't show us at all. You know what this means... *lightning strikes* FREEDOM!!!

Muahaha. ~_^

Vega-chan, been enjoying our chats lately - soon enough, we'll have this whole thing worked out. It just keeps getting cooler and cooler. ^__^

And - eek. Although I know the time up there says 10:something, it's actually much later - I, er, got distracted. ^^; Didn't get to everybody, but I will later.

Whee! On... to BED! *sings Batman theme*

ABOUT THIS LAYOUT

Seishirou Sakurazuka.

Sexy.

Powerful.

Comes equipped with a great big spirit-bird.

What more can you want?

Seishirou is featured in CLAMP's Tokyo Babylon, as well as X1999. He's by far one of my favorite (and tragic, but that's his OWN freaking fault) characters, and makes an excellent foil for Sumeragi Subaru - who happens to be one of my OTHER favorite characters.

Convenient.

For more information, just do a search for "tokyo babylon." You'll get all the info you wanted, and lots of pretty eye candy. Can't get much better than that.

Oh - and the lyrics are from Garbage's "The World Is Not Enough." Just in case you were wondering.
