Hey, all - just so you know, my organization is putting on a HUGE rally for September 11th, the one-year anniversary of the Islamic terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. As a result of this, I'm booked.
No, literally. I mean BOOKED.
We've had ONE MONTH to put this together (don't ask why that happened), and since I'm in charge of all the music and the bulletins and half a dozen other things, I'm literally going from morning to around nine at night.
Not fun, yo.
So anyway: pardon my radio silence. I'll reply to everyone soon - just right now, it's not happening. @_@

Distance: from Yorba Linda, CA (20 minutes from where I live) - 3 miles NE
Coordinates: 33 deg. 55.0 min. N (33.917N), 117 deg. 46.5 min. W (117.776W)
Depth 12.9 km (8.0 miles)
If you're wondering what all that means, basically speaking, if it had lasted longer than a few seconds (in terms of the bad shaking, not the aftershocks), it would have been quite nasty. This isn't like city-toppling level; but - well, see:
Richter Scale: 4 - Felt by everyone; pictures fall off the wall (1,000 times #1)
5 - Damage--may cause weak walls to crack and fall (10,000 times #1)
In other words, a 4.8 would have burst pipes and stuff. The street lamps were all swaying like mad as it is. MAN was this fun... (yes, I'm nuts. Sue me. :P)
