The hospital jerked me around, sent me back and forth, acutally hung UP on me by accident at one point - and then the collection agency was like, "oh yes, this happens all the time, just give us your insurance info and you don't even need to worry about it anymore."

o_O WELL, then.

Bleh. Oh, and Merka (*pauses to remind self to add your link*), we DO have great medicine in this country - the problem is getting the right insurance. If I had blue cross/blue shield, I'd be set. But I have *shudders* an HMO.

Possibly the worst HMO in this entire freaking country. It's really, REALLY frustrating to know that we have some of the best medical schtuff available in the world - but that I can't afford it. BLEH.

...sigh.

Do you recall that the insurance agency "lost" the papers, did not pay, and the hospital began sending ME threatening letters?

And I called. and they said to me - clearly - that it was not a problem they weren't acutally charging ME, it would all be taken care of it. Right?

Wrong. I just got a notice from a collection agency. Even though the insurance company HAS paid the bill, now suddenly this collection agency is breathing down MY neck and my credit history is in trouble. All because of some... !@#$% idiot.

*really struggling with temper here* Pardon me. I think I need a glass of cool water.

In other news, I have REALLY excellent copies of the X Character files up for download - most of them written by my favorite composer, Yoko Kanno. DO enjoy. If my bandwidth gets shaky, I'll take 'em down for a bit and then put them up again. They're THAT good.

Oh, and since they are the highest quality possible of MP3, they're huge files. You'll thank me for it later. ^_^

Now, we just have to get her to update her blog. ~_^

Mmm... let's see, QUICK update - my mom had a minor car crash tonight. Nothing huge, except that she smashed the mirror off the right side of her car and somehow wedged the whole thing SO close to the wall that we can't move it without inflicting more damage.

Yeowch.
