Yeah, I know - been SO long since you saw this guy up here, huh? ~_^

Say hello to Seishirou from Tokyo Babylon and X1999, about which you can learn much from sites like this.

I can't say I'm happy with how CLAMP (the artists) ended up treating him, or for that matter how he treats Subaru - but what's one to do? He's an amazing character, utterly complex (forced me to write a one-shot for him, the creep), and rawther attractive to boot. Even if he does smoke.

It's a Japanese thing. XP

Anyway, for this layout, I experimented using Photoshop 7 brushes. It's as close to "grunge" as I've ever gotten, and I'm kinda pleased how it turned out.

Although I DO miss the red-Wu layout. ~_^

(P. S. - that "testify my ice cream" thing? It's from here. Suffice it to say that someone wrote a Tokyo Babylon fic in another language then Babelfished it into English - with disasterous results.)

Anyway, good news. Have gotten a lot of writing done, which all shall be unveiled in a bit; doing some scanning first because for my Utena fic (one of three things to post), I have - naturally - picked a character who's in ONE volume of manga and that's it - didn't even make it to the anime. It's a shame, really; he's a cool little guy.

Have you ever noticed that it's often the minor charas who are the neatest?

Ooooh, and some more good news! We found a shop of Japanese stuff near my house! It's on the way to the school I'm thinking of going to for graduate work, so that is just TOO convenient. There was, I regret to say, no manga; there WAS, however, a ton of artbooks, music cd's, and all kinds of paraphernalia that I haven't seen ANYwhere.

Come on, people. The Tokyo Babylon artbook for 28 bucks. 28. The best I have EVER seen that for elsewhere was over 40.

It wasn't too bad; the special effects were utterly PHENOMENAL, the acting wasn't shabby, the plot and script were both fair - and the person I wanted to die, died. Well, really; Jean Grey bugs me for one maaaaajor reason:

She speaks with her mouth closed - so she ends up speaking THROUGH her bottom teeth.

Really. Watch her; she drives me NUTS.

It's a funny thing, the conversations you can have with someone of the opposite gender when there is absolutely no sexual tension at all. <_< (And btw - go you for not driving after having any alcohol at all.
