...I can't believe it. I'm finished.

• Over 1,000 pages edited, altered, condensed, compressed, etc. and so forth in under ten days.

• A complete site built from scratch, incorporationg live streaming in both Real Player and Windows Media Player.

• No sleep for days.

I'm going to bed now. God is good, and all's right with the world.

(edit as of 12:15am: I'm alive. And to give some clue as to how hectic it's been, I just worked over 180 hours in the past 10 days, no day off. >_< Bleh.)

Friday, March 7, 2003::

Okay, now I know I'm exhausted. Just watched the end of The King and I (the good version with Brynner) - didn't even WATCH it the whole way through - and ended up crying like a baby when he died. >_<

I need a vacation.

Thursday, March 6, 2003::06:39 p.m.

AAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA... the new site WORKS IN NETSCAPE!! AHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAHAA!!!!!!

...okay, gotta run to choir now. ^_^;;;

Thursday, March 6, 2003::

Just a quick note - if any of you are having trouble with these annoying little button pop-up ads that show up even WITHOUT a browser, then click this link to stop it. It's Windows Messenger spam, basically. This way you can stop it without having to buy some weirdo tool. ^_^

Wednesday, March 5, 2003::06:29 p.m.

Eeeeeeeeenteresting. And are we still trying to insist that this isn't a WORLD war? *ducks*

Tuesday, March 4, 2003::02:55 p.m.

This is FREAKING funny (especially for any LOTR lovers out there). ^_^

*chuckles* I didn't see your blog, Pisces - it only hit me laaaaaaaate last night when I wrote out my tithe check and discovered it was 3/4/3. I pouted. Much.

I am taking vacation time very shorly; this, I have determined. Right now, I'm working all day - every day - to finish a HUUUUUUUGE project at work, once which is due on the 10th of March (and which will get more detail in ze blog later). I'm working weekends and nights; and after this, since I get TWO weeks of vacation finally this year (yay promotions), I may take one starting March 10. We'll have to see. I'm not going anywhere, mind; I'll probably hole up in my room and write like a maniac. Or sleep. Sleep is good.

Meh. Must get back to work now.

Tuesday, March 4, 2003::01:15 a.m.

Aw, man... I forgot to post on 3/3/3! I'm SUCH a ninny! >_<

Saturday, March 1, 2003::10:24 p.m.

Okay - there's a rant coming up here, be warned. I know CNN said it better. I don't care.

You may not have seen PETA's latest ad campaign to indicate we shouldn't be mean to animals: they've juxtaposed images of the Holocaust with pictures of dead animals to demonstrate what's (supposedly) happening in slaughterhouses.

Okay. I agree that there are times when animals need to be treated better. I do. But I have several VERY SERIOUS problems with this ad campaign:

1. To compare anything involving animals to the horror and shame that was the Holocaust is unforgiveable. If it's wrong to put people above animals, then it's just as wrong to put animals above people - and I'm sorry, but there is no Hitler going after the bunny rabbits for no other reason than because they ARE bunnies and inciting entire countries toward their annhilation.

2. It might be a little more convincing if they were ACTUAL SLAUGHTERHOUSE IMAGES. Some of them are - but most are NOT. Starving cows have nothing to do with it slaughter houses usually, folks. And the piles of dead pigs? I have it on fairly good authority that usually when you see a heap of dead animals, it's from a culling such as what you'd see with a zoonotic disease or foot and mouth or something like that.

3. This may sound like a repeat, but it's important; to cheapen what happened during the Holocaust by comparing it to killing a bunch of chickens (it's on their main page, I'm not exaggerating) is to cheapen life - period. The Jewish community is very upset - and they have every right to be.

Okay. Rant done. I just keep being shocked by how far PETA goes to try to prove its point. Lying and falsifying evidence are bad enough; but this is unforgiveable.

I hope somebody sues PETA's ass off.

Saturday, March 1, 2003::06:22 p.m.

This is completely out of context, and if you've never done it you won't get it - but Marsh's line needed to be shared:

(re: Fruits Basket)"Every guy in that manga/anime is wiggle bait."

That is all.

Friday, February 28, 2003::02:00 p.m.

WE'RE BACK ON THE AIR! *throws a wild celebration*

More details to come. ^_^

Friday, February 28, 2003::10:36 a.m.

*blinkblink* Mr. Rogers is dead. This is weirding me out severely.

Dave, you rock. ^__^ Your answering "rant" is dead-on - sorry if it seems I went a little psycho on you. But you know, I've actually HEARD people say things like, "oh, because we're Christians we don't have to be as good with music/art/etc." I nearly tore my hair out. Glad to know that you really do have your head on straight - which I already DID know, you just hit a buzzword. >_< Gomen nassai... (so sorry in Japanese. ^_^;;)

Thanks, April! ^_^ It really pleases me that you enjoyed it - working with the two of them is quite enough to give anyone a headache. ~_^

*chuckles* And I see that CLAMP was right all along - it IS all about the puppy. ^_^ Glad you like him, Whitecat. Oh, and for the record, FruitsBasket only gets better - and even quite angsty. As in, more than decently angsty for such a cute series. I can't wait to see what you think of A**** (*eyes her thoughtfully*)

Thanks, Leareth, glad you like the layout. ^^ And also thanks for the heads-up regarding Tokyo Babylon and its missing webmistresses. Well, I have some good news for you: I'm a research hound. You'll neeeeeeever believe what I fooooooound... *runs off, cackling*

*pokepokepoke*

*fans Takira* Yoo can doo eet... although your brain might need to cool off a bit. ^^;

K - have an image. ^_^ Sending you an email with the details.

Those are excellent Mr. Rogers quotes, Pisces. Very right to the point about him - shows exactly what he seemed to be like.

TOGETHER?! Okay... will... call... *twitch*

Man... Vega-chan, you're as busy as I am, I think. ^^; And woo... snow is fun! ^____^

Woo, thanks Becky! Yeah, they're my favorite subject matter (as I fear is deucedly obvious). ^^; One of these days I WILL do something else, I promise. ~_^ (And this Gluhen thing seems to be sweeping the nation, as it were. Hmmmm....)

Wooo... giving up your blog? Meep. Says me. ^^;

*chuckles* Why, yes you HAVE been neglecting it, Chaos. Bad you. ^_^

Natalie, you're dead on. That's exactly it; if feeling inadequate about writing was grounds to stop, then I, at least, would really be up a creek. ~_^ Thanks for saying all that so clearly.

Gwen, you'll make it. It sucks right now and you'll never look back on this crap with fondness, but you WILL make it. *hugs* If you need to talk, I'm probably hiding in Yahoo.... Oh. And HAPPY BIRTHDAY. ^_____^ (I hope?)

Ruby, can I just say that every time your blog loads and I spot chibibunnytsuzuki I just about die?

*eyes time* Bleh. Stupid time. I say we abolish it and live in freedom and beauty forever....

Thursday, February 27, 2003::12:52 a.m.

AUGH. Do I need to repeat it? Yes, I do. AUGH.

Apparently it's the final battle. @_@ SUBARU WHAT ARE YOU DOING... (sorry, I'm a little su-centric. ^^;;)

Wednesday, February 26, 2003::06:59 p.m.

Mind of a Prince, chapter seven - up. ^_^

Wednesday, February 26, 2003::10:29 a.m.

Oh, and just for random fun, say hello to Scotty:

Wednesday, February 26, 2003::09:47 a.m.

Ho boy. Remember when our online store stopped processing orders and we didn't get notice until we'd lost over $30,000.00? Guess what's happening AGAIN?

This time we threatened legal action (dad having connections with the FBI paid off today), and we actually got somebody who knew what he was doing. We've been on the phone for well over an hour. (and to think this is supposed to be my day off....)

Basically, what's happening is this: the orders that we're shipping are not being registered as shipped in the online store's system. We're doing everything we're supposed to do; in fact, we did it WITH the guy on the phone - but it's still not registering. So... we're not getting our money - even though the customers are being charged and the money is going SOMEWHERE.

Sound mildly suspicious? We thought so.

So at any rate, the guy's going through the system and theoretically will find whatever is wrong. Or so we can hope. >_< Bleh. Will be napping this afternoon for darned sure....

Oh, and Dave? (rant warning) To explain the complaints about the Chorale's choice of literature, two words: Christian. Schmultz.

We prided ourselves on the fact that PBU's music program could compete with ANY out there - but the current program of the Chorale sounds like something that would come out of any sweet little Bible college that has no accreditation.

Which we DO.

A balanced program would be nice if both were in there - in fact, that's what I do with MY choir; but having all "familiar" things just because they're familiar actually isn't the best - take it from someone who was in chorale for EIGHT YEARS. I know what affects people the most; and I know what draws most people to come.

The "classical crap" is "CLASSICAL crap" BECAUSE it's good enough to last for 300 years; the other stuff... isn't. Give it twenty years and most of it's completely out of style and no longer important. I love Linkin Park and System of a Down as much as anybody else, and use them liberally when I write; but I'm well aware that if they're in the history books at all in 300 years, it'll be as a footnote. The classical stuff is important because it helps us to understand the course of our human history, the development - giving glory to God on the highest level, ne?

*ends silly rant* Hope that clarifies a little. ^_^

Tuesday, February 25, 2003::12:55 a.m.

Thanks, Leareth! ^_^ I'm glad you got your internet back.

You're welcome, K - I'll work on getting that image uploaded for you tomorrow.

Vega-chan, I do live. And the googlism thing is TOO funny. You're the oldest ship in greenpeace, are you? :p

Yes, you were right. Kenshin is adorable. You win. :pppppp Oh, and congrats on getting into your school's chorus! ^_^

*snickers* I'm jealous, Whitecat - nothing like finding another of your own kind. And isn't Fruits Basket just too much? That thing actually prevailed upon me to make a pastel blog once. o.o. (no, really. it did. it TOLD me to...)

EEEE TOO CUTE! ^__^ Happy birthday, Tsuzuki!

Very wise not to go out, Gwen - I got trapped in PA for the same reason. ^_^ Not that it was unpleasant... *huggles Manzai*

Wooo... Pisces, that IS a nice layout! Very creative. ^__^

*pokes**

March 10th, Dave? Eek - at least you have some extra time to work. *hugs*

Grah, you and I MUST CHAT, Julie. ^_^ I'm dying to know what's going ON. *curses timezones*

Meep - you okay, Chaos?

Monday, February 24, 2003::01:01 a.m.

Oh, and before I forget. I made an evil gif. (longer version here - will take a moment to load, but it's got transitions and stuff. ^^;)

Monday, February 24, 2003::12:18 a.m.

Well, this was an interesting day. You gotta love miscommunication.

Just as a reassurance, Meagan you are NOT REJECTED - do make sure John gets that through his head. ~_^ Saaa, silly pessimists....

Here's a random line of novel:

The sun was setting in the west, as it often did, carrying with it the last hope Alexander had dared to hold against the coming Winter's eve.
Why did I post that there? I have NO idea. *cackles* Okay. Done being weird now. ^_^ To bed!

Sunday, February 23, 2003::01:33 a.m.

Ooooh should SO be in bed. ^^ In fact, going now. Yup. Going.

...gone. ~_^

Saturday, February 22, 2003::02:46 a.m.

Ooh, lookit. Another annoyingly huge blog layout. ^_^ (Well, I had to do SOMETHING with the image....)

'Tis my 50th official layout - I don't know if I should be pleased or snicker myself silly because I'm just THAT much of a computer geek. Muaha.

Currently awake with headache - one of those eye-stabbing ones; but I am at least pleased to say that all is well otherwise.

And my brother and his new girlfriend are coming sunday. Meep. ^^;

Julie - I'm SO glad you had a wonderful time. ^_^ Snow does rather rock, doesn't it? Sorry I couldn't call back tonight. >_< Dad ended up taking us out and we didn't get back until nearly 9 my time - which I thought was a tad too late to call you in your timezone. ^^;; Will try again tomorrow.

...Did the foal die? ;_;

Hokay. Back to trying to sleep now....

Wednesday, February 19, 2003::10:53 p.m.

*waves blearily* I live. *stumbles to bed* *well, that was easy....*

ABOUT THIS LAYOUT

Well, it's officially my 50th blog layout - and of course, it's Seishirou/Subaru. Who else would it be? ^_^

They're from X1999, by CLAMP. And this picture up there actually has very little to do with them OR their story (especially considering that one's an exorcist and the other's an assasin); but artbooks tend to take characters and just pose them in neat situations for the fun of it. Oh, and the two lines of lyrics up there are by Saliva - "Always."

I apologize because it WILL take time to load. Meh; me and my honking big layouts... ^^;
