*stare* YOU are SO not a whore! What the heck is UP with that? Tell you what - next time they do that, just get out your Bible and go to a boooooring book - like, Numbers. And just start reading.

They'll get tired of the joke after a while.

Isa, you ARE handling it - more so than you think. And you can go back to college - you're just going to have to do it the old fashionted way: loans. That, or perhaps he-who-must-not-be-named might be willing to PAY for said college, since he's being ultra-bast - er, mean, ultra-dad at the moment, ne? *hugs* Honey. You are SO NOT ALONE. *urges the 16th to come so she can go and hug for REAL*

I'm interested to see this fantasy story idea of yours develop. ^^;; Lemme know when you have any of it ready for reading. ^_^

03:34 p.m.

*cackles* I've CAUGHT the bugger in a lie....

Ya know Dan, who STILL thinks he can steal my job? Well, I've been asking him for specific criticisms (he's on staff as "advisor," whatever the hell THAT means), and he hedged and hawed...and finally told me that both he and the business manager, Cindy, could not navigate the site without difficulty. That it was confusing, disorienting, frustrating.

Well, I know Cindy; she's a good friend/mother figure of mine. I was surprised that he said this, since she hadn't breathed a word. So, I called her.

*hums a bit* I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt (yeah, RIGHT) and saying that he meant the online STORE - which isn't under my control, and needs to be redone because it's awful. Because he definitely was wrong when he said she had trouble with it. She was mildly confused. *cackles again*

And now, on that definitely maniacal note, I am going to bed. Yes, this was a true all-nighter - and most-of-the-dayer. Unfortunately, I have to write two (small) papers tonight and prep for an exam tomomrrow; after which I have to write yet ANOTHER paper.

This is the week from hell, folks. Trin, signing off.

(btw - never would have made it if not for this chick over here - lemme tell ya... there's nothing like a friend who will stay up with you all night long [or half the night, for her]encouraging you and poking you along so you can FINISH a paper like this. ^_^; Thanks, Isa.)

Site update. Why? Because I'm sick as a dog and had little else to do. ^_^;; I finally finished chapter four of Experiment #3547. Had a wee bit of site trouble this week, so half of you will be able to see it and half of you won't - 'tis the joys of DNS. -_-; Anyway, just to avoid that, I uploaded the thing over here for the sake of backup:

Part One, Part two, Part three, Part Four - which is the NEW part. Enjoy. ^^ Bwah... almost done with this semester, almost done with this semester, almost done with this semester...

All four are there

*laughs at Vega* Oooh... so I'm evil, am I? *grin grin grin* Fear not - Experiment #3547 hasn't been abandoned; I simply have NO FREAKING TIME. *coughs* *calms down* And I'm glad you rediscovered Labyrinth; that movie is absolutely TONS of fun (in fact, Manzai and I were discussing it the other night), and David Bowie is a kick and a half.

Speaking of Manzai, btw - she had a very bad scare yesterday. @_@ I'm going to pester her to blog about it. Suffice it to say hospitals are not a nice place to find one's husband even on a good day....

Why, that TWO faced...

Okay. Mentioned Mike down below. Used to be my boss; is now my equal because of my promotion.

From all accounts, he spent most of the staff meeting on Tuesday explaining how I was not fit for my position, that I did a half assed job on everything, and that this Dan guy was better.

And then, he sends me THIS.

If I may shimmy out onto a limb here, I'm detecting a slight amount of defensiveness. Ruthanne, it is not my intent to criticize or tell someone what a lousy job they're doing. You're doing a terrific job (and you are too). As I've told you before, I can't wait until you're back in May! You should probably know that some of us have caught wind of the recent Dan /Ruthanne issue and maybe that is a contributing factor. We are getting mixed signals from both sides, and frankly I don't really want him in the picture (between you and me).

....um....but he took my dad aside to SHOW him Dan's version of my site and to explain how much better it was than what I'm doing.

Okay. People randomly turning against me, I understand; it's hard for some men (no offense to Crono, who's one of the few males I know who doesn't seem to think like this) to deal with a female being on the same authority level. But LYING to me....

I dunno what I'm going to do here. To be honest, I think I might just let it lie low and see what occurs, poking about a bit to figure out just WHAT the freak is going on.

See me in May, indeed. Try December. And there are a lot of questions that will have to be answered....

Woo. I just finished my paper on early heresies. Yes, I am aware that it is after six am. Is this frightening to me? Not yet - after all, I get to get a whole TWO HOURS OF SLEEP before I have to get up and cram for an exam at 1pm. I'd get more, but... I have to read Ezekiel twice.

Don't ask. >_<

Oh, and just as a sidenote, if not for this lady right here, I might NOT have finished my paper. She kept me awake with stories of Xellos.

I have REALLY GOOD FRIENDS. *smiles at a few people who've worked hard to keep up with her - including a few whose blogs aren't working ~_^*

*blinks* Flatland is working for me, you guys....

*reading Leareth's blog* Whoah. *chuckles weakly* Leareth, I think that little email down below this entry is for you as much as it is for me. ^^;; And what's this about a double date? *is not snickering is not snickering is not snickering....* At least your prof let you take the exam later; gods, what a mess. And the librarian on top of it...

Is it just this time of year, or something? Blah.

And OOOH, Pisces, I feel your pain... I hate it when people do that sort of thing. It's called common curtesy, na no da?

02:16 a.m.

*chuckles* You're right, Isa - this deserves to be re-posted.

Rob is a commercial saturation diver for Global Divers in Louisiana. He performs underwater repairs on offshore drilling rigs.

Below is an E-mail he sent to his sister. She then sent it to Laughline, who was sponsoring a "worst job experience" contest.

Needless to say, she won.

Hi Sue,
Just another note from your bottom-dwelling brother. Last week I had a bad day at the office. I know you've been feeling down lately at work, so I thought I would share my dilemma with you to make you realize it's not so bad after all.

Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job. As you know, my office lies at the bottom of the sea. I wear a suit to the office. It's a wetsuit.

This time of year the water is quite cool. So what we do to keep warm is this: We have a diesel powered industrial water heater. This $20,000 piece of shit sucks the water out of the sea. It heats it to a delightful temperature. It then pumps it down to the diver through a garden hose, which is taped to the air hose.

Now this sounds like a damn good plan, and I've used it several times with no complaints. What I do, when I get to the bottom and start working, is I take the hose and stuff it down the back of my wetsuit. This floods my whole suit with warm water. It's like working in a Jacuzzi.

Everything was going well until all of a sudden, my ass started to itch. So, of course, I scratched it. This only made things worse. Within a few seconds my ass started to burn. I pulled the hose out from my back, but the damage was done. In agony I realized what had happened. The hot water machine had sucked up a jellyfish and pumped it into my suit.

Now since I don't have any hair on my back, the jellyfish couldn't stick to it. However, the crack of my ass was not as fortunate. When I scratched what I thought was an itch, I was actually grinding the jellyfish into my ass.

I informed the dive supervisor of my dilemma over the communicator. His instructions were unclear due to the fact that he, along with 5 other divers, were all laughing hysterically.

Needless to say I aborted the dive. I was instructed to make 3 agonizing in-water decompression stops totaling 35 minutes before I could reach the surface to begin my chamber dry decompression. When I arrived at the surface, I was wearing nothing but my brass helmet. As I climbed out of the water, the medic, with tears of laughter running down his face, handed me a tube of cream and told me to rub it on my ass as soon as I get in the chamber. The cream put the fire out, but I couldn't shit for 2 days because my asshole was swollen shut.

So, next time your having a bad day at work, think about how much worse it would be if you had a jellyfish shoved up your ass.

....I feel better already. ^_^;

Site Updates

12/10/01 - Server stuff finished - my site works now. ^_^ In celebration, I redid the main page. Subaru again. Big surprise. :P Anyway, I have another bit of fic coming soon, but school must come first - I am going to die. -_-;
12/01/01 - Finished the fourth chapter of Experiment #3547, which you can read either here or here. If you can't see the first parts on my trinsan.com domain, for some reason, here are the backups: Part One, Part two, and Part three. Enjoy!

11/16/01 - Woo, never mind! Site is back - worldzone people are very nice to me. I go and say, "I broke it" - and just a few hours later, they fix it. *sighs* So, site is up again. Now, I just need to have updates to PUT there... -_-;
